I would try to ping that computer first. Try accessing it by ip first. If it does not work make sure that the firewalls on both sides are off for this test. Make sure that the Remote Settings have been enabled on the computer you are trying to access. Are you on the same network? check the ip addresses and make sure that they are in the same network.
