Move items in Powerpoint

How to move bullet items in Powerpoint without having to cut and paste. This is based on a tip for Microsoft Word from Kathy Ivens of Windows IT Pro.
You either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player.

Select the item you want to move. Use the cursor up and down keys to move the item WHILE holding down Alt-Shift keys.
You can move more than one item using this technique. Select the items you want to move, holding down alt-shift, then use cursor up and down keys to move them.
You can also move the items to second and lower level using the same method but with left and right cursor keys.
