Make your Firefox browser up to 150x faster

5 simple configuration changes can make your Firefox browser much faster - up to 150x. This is based on an article by soumen at ampercent.com: http://www.ampercent.com/windows/mozilla-firefox-150x-times-faster/975/.
You either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player.

Notes:

  • Type about:config in the address bar
  • Change the value of network.prefetch-next from true to false
  • Change the value of browser.cache.disk.capacity from 50000 to 15000
  • Add a new item: config.trim_on_minimize and set it to true.
  • Change network.http.pipelining from false to true; Change network.http.pipelining.maxrequests from 4 to 10.
  • Change network.http.proxy.pipelining from false to true.
