4/30/08 11:40 AM
When UAC asks for your permission to run a program, it blacks out the desktop and forces you to answer yes or no. It can be annoying. This is a tip from zdnet that makes UAC less intrusive for Vista Home editions.
You either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player.

Notes:
-
When UAC asks for your permission to run a program, it is very aggressive. It blacks out your background and forces you to give a response.
-
You can avoid this blackout. You will still be asked for permission but you don't have to respond to it right away. You can jump to the next note position if you are not listening to the narration.
-
Here is the registry change needs to be made. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERION/POLICIES/SYSTEM/
-
Change the value of PromptOnSecureDesktop from 1 to 0.
-
As you can see, you are still asked for permission but your are not forced to respond to it right away.
